Abbotsford launches
Riva Modeling for PSAB and Decision Support The City of Abbotsford has selected Riva EI and Riva AR to prepare
for meeting the PSAB 3150 requirements. The applications have been
deployed at the City and configuration of sample asset types will be
completed by June. In addition, the City has plans in place to integrate
Riva EI to SAP in 2009 and then launch Riva DS to support long range
planning.
City of Calgary
Selects Riva DS for Enterprise Planning The City of Calgary has selected the Riva DS (Decision Support)
application to perform long range planning to build an integrated
corporate plan. Over the next two years Riva DS will be implemented in
each of the city’s departments, assisting Calgary in moving to the
forefront of asset management in North America.
Oxford County Starts
Riva DS Implementation Oxford County has selected Riva DS to perform its long range
planning in cooperation with ESRI Canada and CityWorks. The County will
use the OnDemand version of the software to deliver decision support
functionality over the Internet.
Waterford Township, Michigan integrating Riva Modeling and Cityworks Riva Modeling is participating with Cityworks and ArcGIS in
integrating Cityworks and Riva Modeling software applications to enhance
the scheduling and future planning capabilities for Waterford Township,
Michigan.

strategic plan for Calgary Roads. This comprehensive forecast of
activities and costs covered over 100 distinct asset types, including
Pavement, Bridges, Signals, Signs and Streetlights.
Ottawa Riva Modeling
Pilot
The Riva Modeling pilot project in Ottawa went live with long range plans for
facilities, roads, water and sewer assets. The pilot was completed in 6
weeks and shows the integration of Riva Modeling with GIS and other corporate
data sources.

Ottawa Riva Modeling Pilot
The City of Ottawa has launched their pilot of Riva Modeling. The
pilot will show that Riva Modeling can assist their long range
planning for both linear infrastructure and facilities.
Kitchener Selects Riva Modeling Asset Repository
Kitchener has joined the Region of Halton, the County of Simcoe and the
City of Red Deer in selecting the Riva Modeling Asset Registry to replace their
spreadsheet and custom database asset inventories.

Riva Modeling along with our partners SAP Canada, IDS
Sheer and ESRI Canada have been selected by the City as the vendor to
implement a new Enterprise Resource Planning Asset Management system at
the City. Riva Modeling will provide Strategic Long Range Asset and Risk
planning and PSAB 3150 compliance, SAP and IDS the Financials component
and ESRI (Cityworks) the Maintenance Management portion.
June 2007 - Brandon, MB
Along with our partner Applied Geologics Ltd. (AGL), Riva
Modeling was selected to help the City meet its Asset Management solution
needs. AGL will implement Cartegraph for Maintenance Management and Riva
Modeling will provide the Strategic Long Range Asset and Risk planning and PSAB 3150 compliance.

Tangible Capital Assets (TCA) Reporting, PSAB 3150, is a
challenge shared by all Canadian municipalities. In this
session, Halton will be discuss it's approach to asset reporting
and how an integrated solution with asset management (AM) will
drive benefits for the region in life cycle planning and
management of it's assets. This session will highlight critical
success factors, challenges, resourcing and phasing required to
meet the 2009 CICA deadline.

May 2007 - Prince George, BC This northern British Columbia community is the
latest to run a Riva Modeling pilot project. The project is in the initial
stages and will concentrate on the asset base in a section of the
Downtown core.
May 2007 - Simcoe County, ON Riva Modeling, along with our partners SAP Canada and
IDS Sheer have been selected by the County as the vendor to implement a
new Enterprise Resource Planning Asset Management system at the County.
Where SAP will provide the Financial and Maintenance Management portion,
Riva Modeling will be used for Strategic Long Range Asset and Risk
planning and for PSAB 3150 compliance. The project was officially kicked
off in October 2007.
February 2007 - Strathcona County, AB
This pilot of Riva Modeling is being conducted for
planning capital projects for the Roads and Sidewalks in the County.
Summer students have been tasked to collect condition data which is
being input into the Riva Modeling System. At the end of August the output
of the pilot will be presented to Council.
January 2007 - Waterford Township, MI
Riva Modeling has conducted a successful pilot at
the Township. The pilot focused on integrating Riva Modeling with the
Townships’ Azteca Cityworks maintenance management system. The results
of the pilot allowed the Township to create a month by month flushing
program for the next several years.
